Wild Isle Adventure

Based in the beautiful city of Victoria, this trip invites you to contrast the refined elegance of our colonial capital with its surrounding coastal communities and rugged hinterland

Our journey begins with a classic Pacific Northwest experience – coffee and baked goods at a local roastery. After getting to know each other, we’ll begin an entertaining walking tour through Victoria’s historical downtown, where you’ll admire 19th century architecture, discover secret alley shops, and explore one of the oldest Chinatowns in North America. Next, we’ll visit the legendary Butchart Gardens for an idyllic stroll and picnic. Depending on your interests, we can explore epic viewpoints to watch the sunset, or spend time appreciating local arts & culture. Just ask your guides!

Day two will take us out of the city and into the rainforest! Located less than two hours from downtown Victoria, Juan De Fuca Provincial Park offers numerous opportunities to wander through giant evergreen trees and watch waterfalls cascade into the Pacific Ocean. Along the way, we’ll visit quaint fishing villages and local surf spots that continue to thrive in close relationships with neighbouring First Nations.

On day three, immerse yourself in the life-like exhibits of the Royal BC Museum and travel back hundreds of years to learn how Vancouver Island came to be what it is today. Upon returning to the present day, you’ll be invited to board a whale watching vessel from the harbour to witness gentle underwater giants in their natural habitat. Under guidance from local marine mammal experts, you’ll have a chance to see Orcas, Humbacks, and other sea mammals while looking back on Vancouver Island’s rugged coastline from the Salish Sea!
